Horsham Churches Together (HCT) represents 32 member churches from Horsham and the surrounding district. It seeks to unite these churches in worship, prayer and good works which bless and benefit the local community.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! ….. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
HCT coordinates joint activities in the town, including a Good Friday Service and a Christmas Celebration and Carol Service – all in the open air.
Also, it employs a Development Coordinator on a part time basis to coordinate joint church initiatives and to act on its behalf in liaising with the District and County Councils and other statutory bodies. It brings the churches together to demonstrate God’s love by serving the local community through a number of HCT initiatives such as the Youth Support Team, E:liv8, Horsham Matters, a debt advice service and addressing homelessness. It also works in partnership with a number of charities to support those facing issues including drug and alcohol struggles, unplanned pregnancy and pregnancy loss due to abortion or miscarriage.
As Christians we believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life – that through faith in Him we discover a relationship with God, an abundant and fulfilling life and a sense of purpose. We also believe that faith without the works that demonstrate God’s love and compassion is of little value.
If you would like to know more about the Christian faith then a number of churches run special courses which allow you to explore key aspects of Christianity in a very relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere. For example, one of these approaches, the Alpha course typically runs for 8-10 weeks and usually starts each week with a meal followed by a short talk and then time to ask questions. No question is considered foolish or irrelevant! For more information email Info@HorshamCT.org.uk
