The booklet is intended for everyone – extract from introduction:

“We all need the encouragement of the basic promises of the Christian faith to help us live the life God gives us to the full. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit every area of our lives: where we can go, whom we can see, how we can worship.  In the time between Ascension Day and Pentecost, Thy Kingdom Come is a gift to refresh our faith, especially if we felt isolated from our community or our Church during this difficult time. I have also written this in the hope that those who don’t know Jesus at all may find in these pages the hope they long for. Each day there are a few things to read, a prayer to offer and then an invitation for you to make your own reflections on what it means to follow in the way of Christ. You don’t have to write anything down, but you may find it helpful.”

Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York

NOVENA 2021 – PRAYING THE PSALMS FROM ASCENSION TO PENTECOST

Download here: Thy Kingdom Come Novena 2021

A Novena is nine days of prayer that usually encourages us to pray with a particular intention. Our nine days of prayer open and close with reflections for Ascension Day and Pentecost Sunday to help you prepare and give thanks to God.

Before you start • Prayerfully choose five people to pray for, and pray during these 11 days that they would know the transforming love of Christ.

• Set a time each day when you will take a moment of prayer. You only need about 10 minutes.  • Set a reminder on your phone, a note on your fridge or somewhere visible to prompt you to pray each day.

CHEEKY PANDAS Thy Kingdom Come’s flagship resource is an 11-part fun-filled and Bible based video series, with songs, animated stories, prayer and interviews with special guests, all based on the daily themes of Thy Kingdom Come. These episodes are designed for use in church services, school assemblies, children’s ministries and at home within the family.

You can see an overview of the series here To accompany each episode, we also have a daily activity pack and service plans

Missional Generation has created the 2021 map, with an augmented reality app that is used in collaboration with the map. Available for smart phones and tablets, on both Apple and Android. The app features daily games and videos delivered through innovative augmented reality! Due to the situation around Covid-19, the map has also been reworked so that it is now available in A4 and can be downloaded and printed at home. It will still work with the augmented reality app, whether printed in colour or black and white.

Contributors include Guvna B (Rapper and Author); Jamie Jones-Buchanan (former professional Rugby League player), Pippa Baker (Catholic Charismatic Renewal); Joshua Luke Smith (Spoken Word Artist) and Elle Limebear (Worship Leader) to name a few. Alongside each video there is a discussion plan – designed to explore the topic in greater depth – suitable for use in schools, colleges, youth groups and at home.
