Marking three years of war in Ukraine, Horsham came together to pray for Ukraine and its people, lifting up those whose lives have been devastated by the conflict and to pray for peace. Prayers, poems and memories were shared by those gathered, with translation between English and Ukrainian. In a poignant moment, all those gathered were invited to light a candle in remembrance of loved ones who have lost their lives during the war.
Thanks to Rev Michael Hogg, minister at Brighton Road Baptist Church and Deputy Moderator for Horsham Churches Together, for leading the service. And thanks to the team at St Mary’s Church, Horsham, for hosting the time of prayer.
