The Horsham Churches Together Forum helps to set the direction and activities of the organisation. Each member church is invited to send representatives to the Forum – the senior church leader and two members of the congregation. The Forum meets quarterly, providing opportunities for sharing the good work that is happening across the churches, discussion of upcoming events, and uplifting everything before the Lord in prayer.

Dalesdown
A presentation was given about Dalesdown, a Christian residential centre just outside of Horsham, which can host meetings and groups of up to 80-100 people, set in beautiful surroundings. They are hosting a coffee morning on Tues 3 March between 10.00 – 12.30 for children’s and youth workers to consider and discuss potential support and networking opportunities – email events@dalesdown.org.uk to sign up. Dalesdown also host day events, and they would be very grateful for the support of local churches in attendance and helping to advertise the events. Details of all events can be found on their Events page, but in particular, they would like to highlight the Men’s day on 5th March and a fundraising concert on 7th March. For more details, visit the Dalesdown website.
Embracing Age
A presentation was shared about Embracing Age, a Christian charity working towards a world where older people are valued, connected and full of hope, by combatting loneliness, mobilising volunteers, equipping churches and speaking out. They mobilise volunteers to befriend care homes residents, providing support and training. They also equip churches in ministry amongst older people, offering webinars and workshops, and encourage churches to “adopt a care home”. For more details, visit the Embracing Age website.
