The sound of praise filled Horsham town centre on Good Friday, as around 500 people from local churches gathered for the Horsham Churches Together Good Friday Service in the Carfax. The service opened with a welcome by Michael Hogg from Brighton Road Baptist Church, leading into sung worship led by the musicians from Trafalgar Road Baptist Church, who guided the congregation in singing much-loved Easter songs through the service, including O Praise The Name (Anástasis), Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone), and In Christ Alone.
Colin Squires from Kingdom Faith Church shared a personal and powerful message about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Tim Stilwell from St Mark’s Holbrook led heartfelt prayers for the local community, while scripture readings from Luke 23 were read by Mark Lavender from St John’s Broadbridge Heath and Pete Dibdin from LIFE Community Baptist Church.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in the service and to those who served behind the scenes — including the tech team and volunteer stewards — helping make the morning such a meaningful time of worship and reflection.
