Right now, local families are facing the impossible choice between putting food on the table and covering life’s basic essentials, and many are going without.
Horsham Matters is the local charity behind the Horsham District Foodbank, supporting our community through 15 weekly foodbanks across the district is urgently appealing for food donations as stocks have fallen to critically low levels. With demand expected to increase over the summer holidays, support from local churches is needed more than ever.
Summer is always a particularly challenging time for many of the families Horsham Matters support. When schools close, access to free school meals disappears, and this year families are expected to be especially impacted due to the withdrawal of holiday voucher provision. As a result, demand for foodbank services is likely to rise sharply.
Every donation helps provide practical support and hope to families facing hardship across our district. All donations are gratefully received.
