Congratulations to Tom Murray on winning the Trustee of the Year award in the Horsham District Council’s 2026 Volunteer Awards, recognising his dedication and service to the community through Horsham Matters. Tom has served as a trustee at Horsham Matters since 2012 and is also a Permanent Deacon at St John the Evangelist, Horsham.
As part of the national Voluteers’ Week, the awards celebrate the dedication and passion of volunteers across Horsham District, and the positive difference they make in our communities. There were eight award categories, with the awards being presented at an evening celebration by the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex Lady Emma Barnard, The High Sheriff of West Sussex, Gary Shipton and Horsham District Council Chair, Cllr Joanne Knowles.
