Lord, we thank You for all the churches that meet across Horsham District –
small and large, ancient and modern, rural and urban.
Each has a unique part to play in its community.
Thank You for the leaders, workers, volunteers and pastoral visitors
who make such a big impact in the lives of others.
Lord, help us to hear Your voice and follow You
as we serve our community and seek to make a difference through our everyday lives.
Show us where You are already at work in Horsham –
in schools and businesses, in homes and care settings,
in places of joy and in places of struggle.
Keep us attentive to the Holy Spirit,
so that we may join in what You are doing
rather than simply pressing ahead with our own plans.
May we always seek first Your kingdom.
May we speak of Jesus with humility and confidence.
May our churches be places of welcome, prayer, truth and grace.
For Your glory and Your kingdom.
