Seventy-five years ago this week, C. S. Lewis first opened the wardrobe door to Narnia and invited readers into a world of courage, sacrifice, and hope. Through stories like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Lewis showed how imagination can open our eyes to deeper truth – and how creativity itself can reflect something of the Creator.
As we give thanks for that gift, we pray:
Creator God,
You spoke the world into being and filled it with beauty and wonder.
Thank you for the gift of imagination –
for stories that open our eyes to truth,
for writers, artists, and filmmakers who help us glimpse your goodness and grace.
Teach us to use our creativity wisely – to build up, not tear down;
to tell stories that shine with hope, compassion, and courage.
May all our words and works reflect the light of your love.
Amen.
How could you use your creative skills to bless others and share the gospel?
