Weekly Update for 19th August 2026
There’s plenty happening across our local churches and community in the coming weeks.
This week DAVID – The Movie arrives in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 21 August, including Cineworld Crawley. You’ll also find notices for local events and opportunities to get involved, including the Sussex Green Hub where this month it has an earlier 1pm finish and a Horsham Matters Yard Sale.
Horsham Matters is also preparing for its Harvest Appeal, inviting churches to hold food collections to support local people facing hardship. Churches are encouraged to share the Harvest Appeal poster with their congregations and display it on notice boards. Printed A3 posters are also available on request.
Our prayer focus this week is for the volunteers who work to support people in need across the Horsham District. We give thanks for their time, compassion and commitment, and pray that they will be strengthened and encouraged in all they do.
