Sometimes the deepest struggles are the ones others can’t see. A young woman who’s just found out she’s pregnant and feels her world has fallen apart. A couple who were already struggling before the baby came, now wondering how they’ll afford nappies and a cot. A teenager who’s scared and unsure who to trust.
For more than 25 years, The Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre here in Horsham has been a quiet place of welcome for people in moments like these. They listen without judgement, offer practical help where they can, and walk alongside people as they make important decisions about the future. They also visit local schools, helping young people think well about relationships and choices.
As churches, we stand with them praying:
- For those in our community right now who feel alone or overwhelmed, that they would have the courage to reach out for help.
- For the Oasis team, that God would give them gentleness, wisdom, and strength for every conversation.
- For the resources, volunteers, and funding needed to continue supporting those who need it.
If you, or someone you know, could use their support, Oasis offers free and confidential help – visit www.theoasis.org.uk for contact details.
